Die Casting

Die casting is a metal casting process that is defined by forging molten metal under high pressure into a mold. The mold consists of two hardened tool steel dies which have been machined into a shape. To bring the liquid metal (aluminum, magnesium) into the mold you need a plunger tip which pushes the liquid metal inside the sleeve into the mold. This plunger tip is often made from high performance copper alloys.

Plunger tips

Copper plunger tips are used in the heart of a die cast machine and is a very important part. Plunger tips are forcing liquid aluminum or magnesium into the mold. With a high quality copper alloy you will have the best life-time results.
