Die Casting

Die casting is a metal casting process that is defined by forging molten metal under high pressure into a mold. The mold consists of two hardened tool steel dies which have been machined into a shape. To bring the liquid metal (aluminum, magnesium) into the mold you need a plunger tip which pushes the liquid metal inside the sleeve into the mold. This plunger tip is often made from high performance copper alloys.
